Airto Moreira Autograph from Ronnie Scott's Club, London, 2003

Flora Purim and Airto Moreira performed at Ronnie Scott's Club in Frith Street, London, on February 21, 2003. The weather was clear and mild, and the club was packed with jazz heads of all stripes - fusioneers  to beboppers, some Samba heads and lots in between.

Backstage we engaged easily in appreciative repartee - I had connected principally with pianist Kit Walker who was performing through the same DAW (Logic Audio) as I used for recording, and he was from the S.F. Bay Area like I was, too! After our conversation, I picked up a piece of paper, scanned to make sure it was something connected with the artists, and Airto was good-humored about dashing off a signature for me! Cool dude!
